Your BLPN committee has noted that the number of people attending our 10 annual evening indoor meetings at UKZN have dwindled in the past few years.  On the other hand the attendance at Krantzkloof Birds’ Tuesday morning meetings is always good.  We are aware of people’s concerns over safety, but at the same time we are loath to cancel these opportunities to hear and engage with our excellent speakers and learn from their expertise.

At the Committee meeting on 07 January 2013, a decision was taken to share these evenings between UKZN’s venue and a venue in Westville at the Methodist Church in Jan Hofmeyr Road, which has safe parking and is centrally situated.  The details are being finalised but we plan to begin on Wednesday 10 April 2013.  We are also looking for a suitable venue in Durban North, and if anyone knows of something suitable in that area, please contact Lesley directly at the above email address.
