Wednesday 8 May 19h00 – don’t miss this!
We have a great talk lined up for members and friends next Wednesday, and
the area is Durban North, for all of you who have not been able to make it
to the UKZN or Kloof meetings in the past. Marius van Rooyen, is the Senior
Wildlife Control Officer, at the King Shaka International Airport, and he’s
going to talk about the new airport and the problems and solutions they have
found for wildlife, particularly birds, there. Preventing air strikes is
extremely important for both the conservation of the birdlife and the
protection of human life.
Please do broadcast this talk widely amongst friends and others who live in
the Durban North, Glenashley, Umhlanga, and Umdhloti areas and come along to
the Crusaders Sports Club, a venue found for us by longtime member, Hugh
Buzzard. Total on Broadway will be sponsoring the cost of the venue.
For those of you who may have to come from further afield, why not team up
with others and travel together. Contact me if you can offer a lift or
would like one. This talk should really not be missed. Our usual tea,
coffee and biscuits will follow the talk.
