Krantzkloof Talk, Tuesday 13th Aug.

Hello everyone,

Time again for our next talk. (Tuesday 13th August.)  This time one of our committee members – Peter Spence –  is going to share his experiences of the trip he and Jenny had when they visited Mozambique last September.  Peter spent many years there as a young man and his talk will cover many aspects of the country, other than the amazing birds they saw, so this should be well worth listening to and we hope to see many of you there.

As always we will be holding the talk at the Krantzkloof Interpretive Centre, serving tea/coffee and biscuits from  9.30 – 10.00 a.m. and the cost will be R20.00.

The committee thought you might like to know where your R20 goes each month.  Once we have adequate funds we distribute the money, normally R1000 and if we have enough R2000, to local causes.  Over the years we have given money to the Iphithi Reserve,  Kranntzkloof Nature Reserve and the Botanical Society and we are about to donate a further R2000 to Iphithi Nature Reserve to try and help them contain (or rather eliminate) the alien weeds which seem to be a never ending problem.  We hope you agree with our policy.

Many thanks and hope to see you on Tuesday.

Yours,

Sarah, Tessa, Jenny, Peter & Peter Farrington.
