Leopards, lions, wild dogs … and birds, of course

7 March, 2017

Dear Mark,

In February, Monty returned from a fabulous few days in the Lowveld with Duncan McKenzie.  The group saw all of the Big-5 and learned so much about them, as well as the birds, trees, insects and wild flowers of the area.  Monty and Duncan are planning to do the same trip again in March next year.  Details will be published on the website soon.

Our Armchair (online) Courses start later this month, and will kick off with Bird ID for Beginners. Being held online means that everyone all over the country (and the world) can join in the fun, and learn from the comfort of home.

Below are some details.  Click the “read more” buttons for these and all our other courses.

Bird ID for Beginners

A comprehensive guide to the birds of South Africa. Geoff Lockwood and Duncan McKenzie are brilliant birders and gifted teachers, and this course is ideal for novices, as well as those who are a little more experienced.

Bush Tales …
Here are two short videos we’d like to share with you.  The first is a belated but very charming Valentine story about a lonely ostrich at Londolozi.

The second is some amazing footage of a stand-off between a pack of wild dogs and some hyenas, one of which came off rather the worse for wear.

Warm regards to you all, ’till next time.
