Here is a photo I took of a cormorant which I took at Cape Point in December on the
shipwreck Trail. Can anyone ID it for me?  Cheryl King.

    Juvenile Cape.

  2. Megan Lowe says:

I think it is a Bank Cormorant (Juv or Non-br) as it has a short squat neck and no orange gular patch and has a flattened head. The eyes appear dullish

For me it’s a toss up between a juvenile Cape Cormorant and juvenile Bank Cormorant, but would lean towards the former. Keen though to hear what others have to say.
