White-winged Flufftail

Hi SABirdNetters,

The amazing story (and excellent pics) about the White-winged Flufftail which turned up at King Shaka International Airport on Thursday are on BirdLife South Africa’s Facebook Page.

There’s also news about BirdLife International’s proposal to uplist the species to globally “Critically Endangered”. If accepted by the IUCN, this will be the second South African bird (the other being the Tristan Albatross) to be listed as globally Critically Endangered.

See https://www.facebook.com/pages/Birdlife-South-Africa/112371882122716.

Please “Like” the Facebook Page while you are there.
