KZN Bird Clubs’ Rendezvous
Aloes and Birds – 16 July 2022
What and When: In the interests of getting KZN birders together and networking over what we love best, birding, the chairs of the KZN bird clubs have arranged this rendezvous. Come and join us on Saturday 16th July to experience this homestead garden which is only open to birders once a year during the flowering season. An aloe and indigenous plant extravaganza which attracts scores of birds. Of course with winter on the way, the aloes are expected to be looking spectacular with the garden attracting amazing birds. We have been given a special day for the KZN club’s to visit this amazing garden so come and network with BeKZN members and also with some of our neighbouring KZN Clubs – Midlands, Sisonke, Ladysmith, Zululand…
Weekend Stayover: Many of the members have decided to make a weekend of this and are staying in the area for Friday night and moving across to bird at the uMkhuze Game Reserve for Saturday, Sunday and even Monday nights. The hides at uMkhuze during winter are an experience not to be missed. There are a number of different accommodation options in the area from budget to luxury. Please make your own accommodation bookings.
