Ann Burke is an American and is 48 years old . She has devoted her life to the Cranes and especially the Wattled Cranes here in the Midlands. She was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, rapidly progressing, and does not have medical aid because she was only recently granted a work permit, so just earned a stipend from the Crane Foundation.
Our small community is rallying around her, trying to help her raise some funds for private chemotherapy so she doesn’t have to go through the public health system for treatment.
This concert will just be beautiful and a good reason for you to come out to the country that weekend.
